The FieldDoc Platform, developed by Chesapeake Commons, is helping organizations like National Fish and Wildlife Foundation and Maryland Department of Natural Resources document, map, and quantify nutrient and sediment reductions associated with their grant programs. Field Doc is also used by watershed groups and private landowners like Bobby Whitescarver, who use FieldDoc to document the effectiveness of BMPs on his Meadowview Farm to reduce nutrient, sediment, and bacteria loads into Middle River. FieldDoc is integral to the Downstream Project’s Water Watch program.
FieldDoc fills the void in allowing Bay restoration professionals to transparently track best management practice implementation and can be adapted for use in nearly any grant program.
