The founders of People’s Climate Solutions came to The Downstream Project with a big vision: an online database of projects and stories about climate-change action in West Virginia. They wanted the kind of multi-layered search functionality typically found in public libraries or websites developed and maintained by institutions of higher learning.
The Downstream creative and technical team was so excited by the idea that we matched our partner’s funding nearly dollar for dollar to crate a new Downstream Library theme for WordPress. The search functionality required visual experience that supported the sophistication of the database — it had to appear simple and user friendly.
