Charting a Course to a Healthy and Prosperous Future
In spring 2019, nearly 90 community stakeholders participated in a series of workshops and forums, made possible by a grant from the Chesapeake Bay Trust, and sponsored by the Potomac RiverKeeper Network, to explore the future of the Shenandoah River and its watershed by responding to a central question:
How can our communities ensure clean and plentiful drinking water while maintaining a thriving economy that sustains the high quality of life and values of our rural Valley home?
The Downstream Project was tasked with filming several of the workshops and conducting on-camera interviews with key stakeholders. After the formal release of the document, Downstream will produce a video to support and promote the publication and its findings.
Downstream provided editorial assistance, graphic design, and print services to produce the first run of the final Shenandoah Watershed Compact publication available for download on the Riverkeeper Network website February 1, 2020.
