A new online clearinghouse and podcast series called People’s Climate Solutions highlights West Virginians’ climate solutions and stories across all sectors—from education to agriculture, transportation, civic and faith-based organizations, business and more. In addition to original podcasts, the People’s Climate library contains brief abstracts (summaries) that serve as a portal to the people behind the stories, and case studies — brief papers or articles featuring what we’re learning about West Virginians’ climate solutions.
Visitors to the library can create multi-layered searches on topics, such as renewable energy and climate resilience, and by sectors such as nonprofit organizations and public schools. You can also search by West Virginia county or keywords in a search bar. To power this robust search functionality, The Downstream Project contributed funds to craft a custom WordPress library theme that is now available to other Downstream partners.
